May is Social Enterprise Month in BC and it’s time to start thinking about how you can celebrate the growth of one of this province’s most popular – and impactful – sectors.
Social enterprises are delivering triple-bottom line value in communities across BC. It is estimated that there are more than 700 social enterprises operating in BC, with as many as 125 located right here in Vancouver. Companies in this sector are providing jobs for people facing barriers to traditional employment, strengthening our natural environments, and helping to create vibrant local economies, all while reducing the social sector’s reliance on government grants and funding.
Here are a few ways you can participate:
